Jennifer Avelar serves as the Head of Research at Neurology Rare Disease Center, where she oversees clinical research operations, regulatory strategy, startup execution, sponsor relations, and research infrastructure development for complex rare disease trials. As one of the foundational leaders behind the department’s growth, Jennifer has helped build a nationally competitive research program recognized for its speed, operational rigor, and patient-centered approach in the rare neuromuscular disease space.
In an industry often slowed by bureaucracy and outdated systems, Neurology Rare Disease Center has become recognized for moving with urgency, solving complex operational challenges, and delivering meaningful results for both sponsors and patients. Alongside the executive and clinical research team, Jennifer helps lead startup execution, regulatory strategy, sponsor collaboration, and inspection readiness efforts with a leadership style rooted in urgency, accountability, and compassion for the families the center serves.
