Clinical Research at the Neurology Rare Disease Center

Neurology Rare Disease Center (NRDC) is a for-profit research institute created under the same roof as NNCC. The goal is to be able to bring research opportunities to neuromuscular patients in a faster and more efficient manner than traditionally done in the university setting, where the contract negotiation process to start screening and enrolling patients may take 12 months. Our ambition is to open these opportunities for patients in 3-4 months. Another essential objective is to increase the number of underrepresented patients in research, like the Hispanic or African American population. These limitations, impact the ability to translate findings and inferences into real-world use and application.
